April has been designated Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). The goal of SAAM is to raise public awareness about sexual violence and to educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence.
Subtle Warrior Self Defense. LLC is offering free 4-hour personal defense workshops for SAAM. The first workshop is scheduled for Saturday, April 7th at Tiger's Eye Karate, located at 1250 Lamoille Hwy, Suite 205 in Elko. It will go from 1pm until 5pm.
The second workshop will be held in Wells at the Subtle Warrior Studio from 12:30 until 4:30 on Sunday April 29.
Both workshops are a very basic foundation for personal defense, and are open to women ages 12 on up. Participants under 18 years of age will need a parent or guardian’s signature.
